The Taylor Alterations & More LLC is a local alterations and sewing business serving Petal and the surrounding area. Our goal is simple: provide careful, dependable workmanship while making the process comfortable and personal.

Whether you need a simple hem, a custom sewing project, embroidery, formal alterations, or wedding dress adjustments, we take the time to understand what you need and help you get the result you are looking for.

People often ask me, “How did you learn to sew?” I usually say I took Home Economics in school, but honestly, most of what I learned came from practice.

My mother let me play on her sewing machine, and I started by making little blankets and accessories for my sister’s Barbie Dreamhouse. From there, I began altering my own clothes and figuring things out one seam at a time. My motto has always been: try, try again—and if that doesn’t work, watch a video or find a tutorial on how to do it.

My favorite part of alterations is watching a client see the vision come together during a fitting, then seeing their face light up when everything fits just right.

I also love sharing the art of sewing with others and hope to welcome more new faces into The Taylor Sewing Room as I continue passing along something that has brought me so much joy.
